The Green' is a short film I wrote and directed in 2011 shot on S16mm. We filmed it in my home town of St.Helens and features Johnny Vegas playing a small role.

 

Synopsis:

 

Young Philip and Stephen are forced to find a new place to play football.

 

They chance upon a field where peppy pensioners Bernard and Cecil are fond of bowling.

 

Neither wants to back down and a war like no other breaks out for the right to play on  'The Green.'
