Karl Rooney is a studio sitcom director.

 

He recently directed two episodes of Citizen Khan for BBC1 Series 5 - 'Khan's Niece' & 'It's a Khanderful Life' and episode from Series 4 - 'Alia's Boyfriend'

This is a BBC1 prime time multi-camera sitcom recorded in front of a studio audience.

 

Karl wrote and directed 'Quiz Night'. Is an off-the-wall sitcom pilot and is currently being pitched for a series.

 

He directed the last three Mrs Brown's Boys Live DVDs – 'How Now Mrs.Brown Cow' 2015 'For the Love of Mrs Brown' in 2014 and 2013's 'Mrs Brown Rides Again'  - and has directed a number of scenes from the last few series of Not Going Out with Lee Mack.

Karl has also shadowed the directors
of comedies House of Fools, Count Arthur Strong, In With The Flynns and Citizen Khan, each time gaining invaluable experience in directing
multi-camera, studio-based sitcoms.
